This Policy Brief provides an overview of achievements and gaps for gender equality in the labour market and suggests ways to address shortcomings that are negatively affecting the nation’s economic development. Over the past seven years, average annual growth of women entering labor market has been substantially higher than men, in part due to expansion of service sector employment and progress in women’s education.
